I'm getting braces in a few weeks/months and idrk what they can do, I don’t even know why am I getting them. This grey ass doctor said "yeah, you might need braces" and when i asked why he gave me 10 reasons why Israel is running government. Nga I'm here for teeth not vril edit. Anyways I'll be grateful for wvery piece of information

You need to ask if your orthodontist asap

“Will braces move my teeth inward and make my face look more flat? or do I actually need my teeth and palate to be pushed forward instead for better balance, haha just read a lot of Reddit about this!”

You need to make sure he doesn’t set your pallet narrow. It will destroy your looks and make you resessed .

it can grow only forward and downward, not upward and backward

if it really was like this, then people would treat downgrowth with braces and not getting complex bimax for a few mms.

I did that too, on the first pic. And as a rough ballpark, yes, but you wont actually notice it unless u looked at pictures before and compared them to your resting face now

if you NEED palatal expander (most of the times) get them put before braces
and if your doctor said u need braces means you got crooked teeth so you got no other choice than getting them put.
