Are braces worth it?

Im 15 (1 year late on bone growth) and I have a slight jaw recession and crooked teeth, it shouldn't change my face badly if I get braces right?

yes, dont expect them to fix a severe over/underbite tho, need DJS for that

Yep, I was thinking about this, I'll get them now that I recently hit 15 so I don't gotta look like a nerd at 18

you look like you have an overbite you would need lower jaw or double jaw surgery for that, talk to a maxillofacial surgeon or get scans done at least

No one ever noticed my overbite so I'm guessing it's not that bad, I'll just go for the braces to get better teeth and deal with the slight overbite if it stays the same¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

probably no one autistic enough to actually analyze your bite and point it out
and if you mean this in regards to orthodontists not noticing it may just be incompetence lol - I had to switch orthodontists because the 1st one said its not a big deal even tho it literally was severe enough to get a free jaw surgery

Don't remember what my orthodontist said but I went there when I was 13 to see if I should get braces and he said I definitely should but I needed to wait with my last tooth fell out and go back in about a year or 2 at least if I wanted them, anyways I was reading some forums and they said that unless you're 12-13, braces shouldn't affect negatively to my jaw so I'm just gonna for for them 100%, I'll ask him about my jaw and I'll see what I should do

ok its harder to get a free bimax then, in germany you just have to be under 18 and have to have a value over a certain threshold for example 6mm overbite and u get it for free

in your case you probably would need to have significant breathing issues during sleep (sleep apnea) or things in that dierection which you probably dont have

My overbite fs ain't 6mm anyways so I wouldn't be getting it Ig, and yea I def don't have breathing issues either

still get it measured out, my teeth were rotated pretty hard so it looked like i basically had no overbite but when measured they got 6mm
