just use band lab and record vocals and other instruments in protools. I never gave a shit about Ableton. that is a "high iq" daw. yeah its EXTREMELY flexible but its such a high learning curve that you actually, ironically, have to be autistic/retarded to use it.

I like band lab very much because even though it is such a cookie cutter daw made for babies, that in itself is the gift of it. it is so simple and easy to use that you don't have to fuck around with anything else, the only workaround with band lab is your creativity and a little bit of its incapabilities.
