Are extraction of teeth always bad?

I have bimaxillary protrusion. So doctor says I would need my premolars(2 on top 2 on bottom) removed to get my teeth fixed. I'm scared because I've heard many times this can make your face flat or recessed. Someone who knows about it please help

idk about this stuff very well but never extract teeth just try to find a way to fix it without extracting

I'm 19. Im not really sure about my palate. But it's likely more on narrower side than wide. Surely there's no space for teeth rn. That's why orthodontist said i need extractions. But it's my decision to say yes or no. im unsure. Should I send a pic of my palate?

it rlly does depends and ye it could make ur palate more narrow "ur flat/reccesion point"

Yea measure ur palate and never get extractions
They often end up in recessions/more trouble

Yeah it makes everything recessed but it's fine if your palate is not small and it doesn't cause any gaps
