I’m considering trying them out if it makes my skin look better, but always stayed away as I thought I’d look like a faggot.

are these effective? I have okay skin as it stands but I’m 24 and may start to get wrinkles in the next few years.

also any brands you guys recommend?

Depends which face masks. Some are great, some can destroy your skin.
Either way, its more important to have a good, consistent routine that is going to do what you need rather than throwing on a mask once a week and hoping that it works like a magic wand. Unless you've got a good base routine, don't bother.

Try clay masks and hydration masks

I recommend formula 10.0.6 detox mask (orange tube) and the blue mask from glamglow

If they were significantly beneficial then cosmetic dermatologists would recommend them. Instead they recommend retin a, vitamin c, nianicimide, good cleanser and moisturiser, and at least spf 30 sunscreen. Aha exfoliater is a bonus. Consistency is key.
