I got all 6 and 2 7s and 1 9 with the exception of a 5 in literature with minimum revision I only went to school revision sessions

I got a 7 in language after getting 2s all year with 2 weeks of revision prior to the exam

Well, these are what ppl will normally tell u that it doesnt matter.
And they are partially true because it depends on what uni u are aiming for. If your not aiming for russel group, or even unis in the lower half, they dont give a shit abt ur gcses as long as u get like above a 4 or 5 in all your subjects. However if you are going for really competitive unis like oxbridge lse imperial etc then yes they absolutely matter cause they want to know that you've always been smart.
Just aim to get good grades in the base subjects.

(btw, I actually got 11 9s in gcses, not larping, i can help u with ur revision if u want and I can put it on my CV that i did volunteer tutoring im aiming to go harvard actually )

Well can't really do anything as I've already done my GCSES
Besides noone looks at mark breakdowns and the grade boundaries, just the grade you got, A 7 compared to a 9 sounds better than say 65%-85% for example

in my school this is all they cared about. teachers would scold me even if i got a 9 if i didnt answer some questions properly or was "too close" to the grade boundary
everyone else also looked experienced this this and studied mark schemes to hell
