Are government contracts a good method

My cousins and I are trying to land our first contract with our start-up business, although it's tasking. Anyone have any experience with government contracts? The field notoriously has a reputation for nepotism but were hoping to break through by offering a competitive yearly salary in the contract. Were currently using AI to help develop models, websites, and apps to hopefully land a deal with someone.
