We're not really in that phase of courtrooms and apologies yet ngl. But yeah tbh I don't think the top brass would do anything like that even if Israel took over the entirety of Gaza and dismantled Hamas considering the war wouldn't really end there. Another militant group would rise up and the top brass can't fall out of favor with the radicalized population

Hamas won't apologize in court at all unless tortured properly first. Apologizing for killing jews—even if they were women or children—will outcast you for life among arabs.
