Are ideas (abstract concepts, frameworks, words) a derivative (same thing really) as 'vibes' and feelings or a completely separate thing all together?

Internally, they feel separate and I can make a clear deduction between the two - They have more of a dualistic feedback process between each other (ie words shape my reality and emotions react / emotions react to environment and ideas are produced)

Basically, what comes first? Emotions -> Ideas / Ideas -> Emotions or are they completely separate and source of emotions is entirely physical (material) and ideas super natural / meta physical. Personally, I think the latter is the most accurate.

I dont think conscious emotions can be formed without ideas, as ideas form the necessary mediation thru which these emotions are expressed. But I suppose emotional response prior to linguistic integration is still possible

so ... separate?

ig it makes sense as animals would be operating unconsciously and would just have a first-layer 'awareness' of their emotions.

but in your model are ideas basically an overlap of consciousness that can navigate the emotional space and derived from a different part of the body / brain (idk if body / brain are the right terms, this is assuming you're a materialist)

I would say that emotions, defined consciously, are not separate from ideas but rather both are derived from language.
But, as u mentioned, there are also ‘emotional’ responses, like we see in animals. Essentially unmediated reactions to the surrounding reality, ‘emotion’ without subjectivity.

And I believe ideas are a product of consciousness and integration into language, rather than emerging from a specific like part of the body or smth
