The term Arab is used more as an ethnolinguistic one. Anyone who’s native language is Arabic is by definition an ArabBefore the arabs conquered like half the middle east and north africa lebanon had no arabs, the native lebanese are a distinct genetic group from the arabs. Now though there is probably a lot of mixture with the arabs so most people probably have both lebanese and arab dna. But they are probably still mostly lebanese genetically so thats why they look different
Yeah all these terms are unclear as to whether they are cultural, ethnic, linguistic, genetic, and whatever else. Since op was referring to how they look though I think he meant genetics. But yeah almost everyone in the middle east and north africa is now in the same linguistic/cultural group as arabsThe term Arab is used more as an ethnolinguistic one. Genetically the Arabs also had an impact they didn’t just impose a new language and religion they often mixed with the native populationYeah all these terms are unclear as to whether they are cultural, ethnic, linguistic, genetic, and whatever else.
