Are lifts even worth it?

People have learnt to easily spot if someone is wearing one they are good at find out and detecting it
remember back at university. was sitting for lunch with a female co-student and she was talking about some dude wearing lifts.
Ofc i pretended I didn't even know what shoe lifts were :lul:

I never use lifts unless I'm wearing high neck shoes and tall pants it won't be visible if you do that

This is why I wear them with mid top airforces but it looks so clunky and it’s uncomfortable to walk in, lifts seem to only be good in boots to be honest
i have some 95 the back of the shoe is going pretty high and i will just wear some baggy pants with it ig

I’ve been wearing mid top af1s for some time now (they look ugly but allow you to put in lifts), and I’ve been putting in 3 layers of lifts which is about 1.4 inches combined with 1.2 inches from the af1. My barefoot height is 181cm, but even with the shoe and lifts I get Heightmogged often and I struggle to claim 6’0. I’m tired of lifts and clunky looking mid top af1. Is it worth ditching the shoes and just wearing low tops af1 or is the decrease in height too brutal
Unless 6'4+ of course

I fraud 2.5 inches and I've walked for hours while wearing them before

They feel a little bit uncomfortable and you will feel pain in your heel if you wear them for a long time

I wouldn't suggest walking with them daily tho it will worsen your posture

Only use them daily if you're gonna sit most of the time like me

you mean including bottom of the shoes? If that then no just the lifts

That must be brutal to walk in.

My main struggle is my feet are size UK12-13 (US13-14) so all the commercially available lift wedges are just rattling around in the heel and if I stack them it would be very unstable.

What are 2 inch thick shoes? Most people wear airforces, Jordans, vans, converse,

Might sound retarded but some users here used cloth as lifts so you can fill the space with some cloth or smth but it will look retarded if you take your shoes off

My forces are nearly 2 inch thick but I guess UK13 size means they are quite scaled up.

Mid top forces look too chunky and non nt tbh tho they are great for lifts but then you have to wear baggy and flared pants which look gay as hell

the sole thickness increases with more size??

I always wear size 11 but it’s too big for my feet even with lifts in, in most other shoes I wear 10.5, i was gonna but size 10 this time

Well I noticed it when comparing with some girls size 4 air forces, they are scaled down in every way including the thickness. It’s probably like 0.1 inch per size or even less though.

I don’t think you need to size up for lifts as they put your foot at an angle anyway so actually takes up less length horizontally. Might be wrong but certainly I find some of my undersized shoes MORE comfortable with some lifts.

They look good if your bottoms are baggy or have a flare at the bottom of the trousers because it covers the stupid strap but otherwise it looks clunky and makes your legs look shorter

But again it’s basically impossible to wear lifts in low top shoes

yea in low tops even an inch is pushing it

probably best just to wear boots than weird looking high top trainers

I actually think high top AF1 mogs tbh.
The actual high tops (not the mids) have a removable strap, more room for lifts, and don’t look strange if covered by pants. Even if you don’t cover them or even if you wear shorts, I don’t think they look that weird. High top blazers and converse are popular at least.

Here my 5’7” ass is wearing the high top forces with 1.5 inch hard plastic lifts (no compression), an additional layer of 0.4 inch synthetic cork heel lifts, and a comfort insole as the top layer.

IMG 0789
IMG 0788

So I’m standing at over 5’10”, it’s very comfortable, I don’t walk weird. I can even run a bit fairly easily if I remove the 0.4 inch booster.

Oversized clothing (particularly with the T-shirt being a little long) makes you look shorter but this is actually an advantage when heightfrauding a a reasonable amount because it offsets the stilts effect whilst providing an actual boost to height. If I fraud this much with tight pants and a shorter tee, it looks a bit comical. The tight pants are the main no-go because the seemingly very long tibias will be emphasised. Luckily that’s not Zoomer fashion in 2024.

Also personally I’ve found I can even fit 1.5 inch lifts in low top AF1. But of course looks weird if not covered by pants. Best to stick with highs as pants ride up when sitting.

Very good frauding, also good proportions u look tall

Issue is I can’t find high tops at all when I search for it

Do you think low tops with a 0.7 inch lift is worth it? I tried my 0.7 inch in one of my low top shoes and it looks fine. The mids are super ugly and I’ve been wearing one for like 5 months with 1.3 inch lifts

It’s definitely worth it if the alternative is not frauding, every little bit makes a difference and 0.7 inch lifts are a very safe permafraud with very low risk of being exposed or harming your feet (although I think foot health risks are overstated, but depends on the quality of your lift setup).

Just stick it under your shoe insole and live your life. You can take your shoes off and almost certainly not get called out with such minor frauding.

I think a good option if you real height isn’t too terrible is to permafraud a small amount like this and then you can do a little bit more for occasions like dates, going to nightclubs, whatever. Assuming you will be seeing people you know, you don’t want to suddenly be like 2 inches taller than usual.

You can cut the straps off the mids to make them less ugly. As for the highs, they don’t seem to sell them brand new more, but in the UK I’ve easily been able to find used pairs (in great condition even). I literally bought several pairs on vinted: one that I keep fresh, a beater pair for clubs and gigs, another for the gym (used to use blazers but they’re so flat). This won’t be a surprise to blackpillers but I train at an overpriced health club (just because I live close) and it’s absolutely brutal how tall the average height is there. 5’10”ish seems kinda manlet when it really isn’t in the general population despite what this site may tell you.
Tall rich chad central there whilst the manlets are rotting at home playing vidya.

I pretty much always use at least 1.5 inch lifts in thick soled shoes now as I’m in that range where it brings me from borderline over-tier height to almost average for young men.
Not sure I’d recommend such a committed permafraud to somebody with a more acceptable natural height.

Will start wearing timbs and other boots over the winter just so there’s a bit of variety in my footwear. Timbs arbor road model gives more height than the classic and still looks fine imo.

Appreciate the detailed response

Yeah leisure centres and health clubs are where rich chads hang out, shortcels are busy rotting or working 9-5. Any place where it’s social or young or rich people usually has tall average heights

I’m 181-182cm, I usually try and claim 6’0-6’1 with 1.4 inch lifts and airforces. However the average zoomer is about 5’11

Id probably buy timbs as well in the near future; they are trending rn and are great for height frauding
