People don't really want comfort.

They value security--which is often confused with comfort-- yes. But comfort is not something that humans innately value.

It's not a biological desire, and therefore it must be a social construct.

If you want to see evidence of this ideal of "comfort" being but a social construct, look at the general consensus on what if comfortable.

Maybe your on the couch, a bed or something, consuming some form of media, snacking.

Does that sound normal to you?

How could human's biologically desire an ideal that wasn't even unfathomable in the hunter gatherer days?

Recently I got into some drama at my high school, during that time I was not in any sense comfortable, but I unknowingly completed 4 days of nofap and was in a much better frame of mine.

The stress kept me sharper. It made me feel alive.

Now I am back to my comfortable life, but once I had a short taste of the thrill of living outside your bubble it's honestly tough being back.

People just think they want comfort because its promoted as a societal expectancy, but once they experience the high of drama and excitement it starts to bore them.

Comfort will always bore you eventually.

For the most part yeah its not good, men having these comforts, humans are designed to be under stress all the time, for food, water, resources, against the weather if its cold or hot or raining, etc. so when that stress is lifted they dont know what to do with themselves.

The desire for food or water or animal skin for clothing to not freeze to death is enough to get almost any man motivated, but without these things most men seem just content to exist and maybe put in a bit of effort to get a job or girlfriend but thats about it. Our world is becoming safer and more comfortable, but more and more people suffer from depression or other mental illnesses, which shows that comfort does not satisfy people psychologically. What do you mean when you say men are weak?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean when you say men are weak, but I'll take a guess and say its, at its core, its a lack of masculine values and features, such as:

- Left wing extremist political views (feminism)
- Lack of ambition
- Lack of backbone
- Lack of self confidence
- Lack of action

Okay, so then the question is why does this happen? You mentioned some stuff like porn, soy, processed foods etc. To me, this explanation makes no logical sense nor is it backed in any scientific literature.

Lets look at the question from a biological angle:

At the end of the day, we are animals. Us being animals is the reason why we developed social intelligence, want to mate with the best looking specimen of the opposite sex we can attract, why we are triggered to eat calorie dense foods and so on. The core goal is to survive and spread or genetics.

In the past, everything worked essentially as intended - we had to work dilligently to achieve these things. We had to work hard to put food on the table, we had to spend time putting our life in the best place possible to attract females and so on. However, as society has developed to where we are now, everything is abundant:

- We have too much food available, making us overweight as early as childhood, putting us in an uphill battle for the rest of our lives to fight against our hormones telling us to eat. What was before a desired trait (high hunger drive) is now one of the worst traits to have.
- We have porn to replace pussy
- We have online videogames and forums to replace social interaction
- We have social media making us think about and relate to things and people that are irrelevant to our actual lives in whatever town or small circle of people we need to actually relate to
- We have video games to give us a sense of achievement and goal seeking as the finishing touch, so that we can fully trick our stupid animal brains into thinking that we are living up to our purpose as human beings.

The result is that a modern man today will be lead into a meaningless existance from childhood because no parents were ready for this situation. There is too much shit to trick our brains into thinking we are doing something meaningful. Again, lets take videogames for example: You could unplay every single second of your video game playtime, and you would lose NOTHING. Had you put that time into some meaningful endeavour, you could have achieved something truly great. Procrastination and dopamine addiction is a huge problem, but the crazy part is that thats only the distraction. The real issue is that if you aren't playing video games, you're probably doing some other retarded hobby - when what you should in fact be doing is doing everything possible to maximize your actual LIFE; looksmax, moneymax, statusmax, traveling, creating value somehow.

Men are weak entirely because of the industrial revolution. Im sure you know that Men were the traditional providers of their families/tribe, they fought in the wars, are the protectors and stronger sex, etc. But the Industrial revolution killed this. It gave way to quick and easy profit and the opportunity to live working in a factory than hunting and killing just to live. Importance shifted from valuing themselves and their kin, and insteae valuing their boss and the business, and how much money that could make. That's why feminism and other movements similar began to rise around that time. Fast forward to today tech has all but increased and western men at the forefront of it are more pathetic than ever
