Other than height, does male looks rely on their mothers'?

I dont think you get any more genetic influence from either parent, im not an expert on this but as far as I understand you get roughly half of your dna from your mother and half from your father. Of course like 99.9% of it is exactly the same but the comparatively small difference in that small remaining percentage can play a big role. There is a large element of chance because it is not necessarily prescribed to get this or that trait from your mother or father, the genetic interactions are complicated and not well understood

So our looks completely depend on luck I get it.

Its not all about luck, because you will have to get the traits from your mother or father. If two dutch people have a baby obviously they will not have a kid with an afro and black skin. But the genetic interaction between your mother and fathers genes and how they are inherited are not always understood, its more of a dice roll with percentages.

If two dutch people have a kid, the kid will have a high chance of being tall. But if a dutch person has a kid with a Vietnamese person, the chances are that kid will be an intermediate height, more than the vietnamese average but less than the dutch average. Some traits are like that, sort of turn out halfway, like most physically obvious traits. But some will not be halfway, like black hair and brown eyes are more likely than 50% to show up in the kid with a dutch parent and vietnamese parent because for some reason those genes are expressed more

I know about genes. Was just wondering the things for example like bonemass, frame width etc.
