Obviously can be beneficial for leanmaxing, since can burn a good 1lbs - 2lbs fat and enter ketosis depending on your TDEE, but aside from that, are there actual benefits to the occasional 2-3 day fast, for example, like once a month?

I've heard of improved insulin sensitivity, some autophagy benefits etc.

Love, the fast has started.

Should I eat something high protein and high nutrints like eggs or some shit before I start? or doesn't matter. Kinda ended the day of eating in a bit of smables. I ate well earlier today (beef n eggs)
I'd recommend high protein meals before you start as your proteinsynthesis will be reduced during the fast. Maybe even a bit carbohydrates? Literally just a balanced meal I guess with clean whole foods.
Yes, this would get rid of all the things that are piling up in your body like in your intestines. You would also give organs like your liver 2-3 days of rest.

Another benefit would be the fat burning mostly, fasting is a cheat code for leanmaxxing. Just try to drink a lot more water than usual, this would also help with the food cravings if you get any in the first place during the fast.

I'd recommend a fast atleast every 3 months, even better monthly. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.

Yes, fat burning is honestly my main motivation for doing it tbh, to kick off the leanmax journey, since I got some lard to drop from Christmas and it's about time I get it done.

Yes, I will chug water, last time I did one it was about 60 hours, and electrolyte water (potassium chloride and salt) helped kill any cravings that came, which wasn't much.

Any effect on negative metabolism? I actually heard that meatbolism speeds up during short fasts like this, not sure how true it is.

Should I be training in the gym during this time in the gym?

What about cardio, like some stairmaster or light exercise, like daily steps for the increase in TDEE and a fat burn.

Fasting increases the metabolism slightly, but I wouldn't count on that.

Try to do less reps, less sets and keep it around 60-80% intensity.

You should really do some cardio as your body is already in a fat-burning state. Don't do high intensity cardio though, keep it chill and easy. Go for around 8-12k steps a day.
