Yup i agree, you have to set boundaries with not only your mother, other family members to. Because when conflict happens, as they should, your family is gonna act a fool, and your wife is look at you funny , thinking why would your family feel comfortable doing bs and crossing certain lines. Your women/wife will loss respect for you.

You have to make those bondaries and establish them, in adulthood don't wait till you get into long-term relationship/marriage to do it. Believe it or not family members will feel comfortable crossing the line even more so then strangers or friends. Why so, people don't fear loss, when it comes to family because they believe said person they have conflict will be around, and sadly this is true. Say you have conflict with a cousin you will see the person a few times a year, christmas dinner, thanks giving etc.

People fear the lose of a friend, or a person they like, because if said person cuts you off, there gone for good. Alots of times family members will show more respect to their , friends then their own family.
