Are my retainers going to stop my pallet from expanding

for more information i had braces for around 1 year and my smile went for a 6 tooth smile to kind of a 8, but I'm trying to get to a 10 but I am worried that the retainer that they gave me is not going to allow that. i am also worried that if i stop my teeth will go back to being crooked.

why would the retainers stop this do you have pallet expander currently?
