Are NBA player's much taller then their parent's ?

It's always been a mystery because most of NBA player's have left for the milk and never came back so we can never really see how tall their parent's were compared to their son now. Imagine their dad's were like 6"1-6"3

I don't know about other NBA players because I'm not into basketball, but look what I found about Yao Ming (who's 7'7 and is know for being bred by China)...

"Yao is the only child of 6-foot-7-inch (2.01 m) Yao Zhiyuan and 6-foot-3-inch (1.91 m) Fang Fengdi, both of whom were former professional basketball players."

His mother was 6'3...

In my city sometimes I walk pass a black girl with a huge frame, she must be around 6'5-6'6 and about 220lb or more, she isn't fat as well... Nephilim genetics!
