Are politics jester?

So all my life ive been in a political family, but after a long time ive come to the conclusion that we really cant control anything because there will always be someone with more power. (for example ) But i dont know wether to still educate myself in them or to just stop because both left and roght wing are controlled by the same group and have the same ideology just different ideas and opinions. So are politics jester?

It's not bad to educate yourself, also ideology is ideas and opinions.
