Are projecting cheekbones uncommon among whites?

Seems like most white phenotypes have long narrow skulls where the zygos aren't very prominent. When asians draw white people in anime, they depict whites with a
long and narrow face. Is that why asians shave their cheekbones to look more white?

maybe. but most whites would look better with high set somewhat prominent cheekbones - its just rare and something only models really have
