Yes, your metabolism will go to shit otherwise. First time I cut was when I was 15 and I did it too quickly, went from 190 pounds to 160 in one month and a half, I was 6.1 btw, and I looked like shit, basically twink mode. Took me two months to escape twink hell by recomping and stabilizing at 180 where I looked decent. Metabolism is a real thing, don't believe ppl who tell you it doesn't matter and that you can starvemaxx on 1000 cals per day, just my opinion
Looked like shit facially or body wise? I assume you would have looked godly at such low bf (assuming you have bones)

You can do low calories to do an aggressive deficit and recover your metabolism by reverse dieting and slowly increasing your caloric intake
gym performance wise yes if you are low in carbs on your current diet

Body wise, I looked like a twink because I didn't have much muscle mass and had wide hips, thankfully that's fixed now. I actually looked better overall after I recomped both facially and bodywise

so even if you go hella low cals, a refeed once a week would be beneficial for metabosu?

i’m at like 1.2k a day. maybe 1.5k. got 5-7kg to drop in 44 days.

Yeah, just do BW in pounds x 15 once per week, if you are afraid of going to high in calories just do ideal BW x 15. You could also try the snakediet, imo long fasts are better than starvation calories. Basically fast for 3 days and on the fourth eat 3000-4000 cals, try to measure your calories per week rather than per day and it'll be easier

i was looking into snake diet. you are the first person not from 2020/2021 that has mentioned it deadass. have you done it personally? i did 60hours fast and felt legit no hunger.

my only fear with snake diet is that it rapes collagen since you have no protein so your body breaks down collagen and shit from skin

Yeah, I experimented with it and I think it's way better than standards starvemaxxing or peasent tier calories. I needed to leanmaxxing quickly for a waterpark trip and did a 15 days fast, first 3 days were kinda hard but I was used to fasting. I experimented with a shit load of diets and imo it's the best for quick fat loss, the second best would be aajonus' lean meat and raw egg diet (10-15 raw eggs throughout the day and one lean meat meal), I was dropping like 0.5 pounds per day but I heard ppl losing even 1-2 especially if they were adapted to the diet. High sugar/Ray peat type diet is also good but not as quick as the others and in my experience the best for long term anti aging.

Tbh if you don't plan on keeping the snake diet as a lifestyle I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Aren't most collagen supps very low in cals though ? I know they are not the best compared to legit gelatin but might be useful to look into them if you are afraid of collagen loss, market gelatin is also just as good for fewer bucks.

my curent 1200 cals is only meat and eggs. cos they r the most nutrient dense. ever heard of protein sparing modified fasting? basically only protein.

i dont use collagen supp. i would 100% do extended fasts if collagen was uneffected
