I usually don’t use “White” as a descriptor but for the lack of a better term I had to use it. Now you see, everyone might initially believe that Russians are white right? I mean after all Russians are light skinned and usually have light eyes and hair. And their skulls are typically close to that of other standard white Europeans (such as Germanics).
However, if you look at the DNA of the average Russian (even those in Europe) no matter how light their hair or eyes appear to be, on average they have 9% Asiatic admixture. If you were to include other parts of Russia such as the east you would likely have up to 25% even in the so called “Slavic” Russians.
Now this is not to diminish Russians, obviously I greatly respect and love Russia for many reasons. Yet, there is a genetic reality for Russia and it is that there are almost no pure White Russians. Even if you were to discard central Asian migrants or Turkic groups you would still have a predominantly mixed Slavic-Asiatic “Russian” nation making up most of the population of Russia.
Now, evidently many modern Americans believe that Russians are white however these are normie opinions who don’t understand genetic realities. On the opposite side, most Europeans from west/north Europe will likely tell you that Russia is a land of mongrels and they will deny “Whiteness” to every Russian citizen.
I believe the true answer is somewhere in between but I’m curious if other ethnics perceive Russians to be ethnics as well or if they are too white to actually be ethnic. Personally, I would suggest that while some Russians can be white nearly all of those who are of the “Russian ethnicity” are ethnics who simply pass as white and so they are treated by white in some countries. This makes Russia an inherently mixed race country.
So do you think that Russia is white or no?
