Are short men (5'5 - below) weaker in physical strength?

Yes. They literally have less area to grow muscle on. Though, once you get tall enough, it starts to work against you physically.

if we're talking about raw strength, yes short men are weaker because of having smaller frame and less muscle mass connected to them. Although in powerlifting and weightlifting sports (Except Strongman) they can lift more weight due to leverages being very short. So yeah an untrained short man with a height of −5'5 will usually will lift significantly more than a person of an average height.
 
I am 6'0 so its not hard for me
The strength benefits from being tall decrease once you start getting FREAKISHLY tall. I'm talking like above 7 feet tall.
