are teeth extractions overhated on this forum?

got 4 premolars removed 6 months ago when I was 17 and got braces to fill the gaps. didn't know about the potential side effects back then so reading some posts on this forum made me very concerned. I don't think anything got worse tho, I still got good forward growth, prominent cheekbones and full lips they stayed exactly the same imo.

i think its ur back molars that u dont want to extract since they maintain the structure of your palate. Also ur experience of removing pre molars doesnt determine everyone elses, removing 4 premolars wild tho

so it wont necessarily fuck up my face in the coming years? had 4 removed cause especially my lower palate is crazy narrow as far as I know.

by 17 you have most of your maxillary development done, but now you will still struggle to have a nice wide smile

it can just make ur philtrum longer and mess up ur chin to philtrum ratios and makes ur palate smaller but its barely a looksmin but could be a big one in the long run but not too sure

teeth extraction is not the root cause, it's a symptom that ur skull is too small to properly contain all those teeth. it's not like keeping them in will help, skull is already too small

no removing teeth is underhated. this is a scummy procedure from dentists/orthodontists trying to make a quick buck. aesthetically, you already get bone resorption with age. bone resorption can only be fixed through the most invasive/expensive procedures like implants. filler, fat grafting etc cannot replicate bone/teeth. functionally, humans are meant to have 32 teeth, if your palete can not fit 32 teeth then you have a narrow palete and possible airway problems which compounds with age.

bro the gaps that were created are already closed tho due to braces. bone loss in a major extend like what u are describing usually only happens to people that were retarded and didn't fill up the gaps.
