Are teeth straightened during bimax treatment / should I get invisalign before bimax?

Is there any point in me getting invisalign now if I plan on getting bimax soon anyway? My teeth are crooked and I want to fix them but I also know that I need double jaw surgery to fix my lower third, and I know part of the bimax treatment includes wearing braces - what I don't know is if that treatment straightens your teeth, or if it's purely done to move them into the right position for the surgery.

You will need braces before surgery

don't get invisalign get braces

If he is willing to give a big amount of money for a surgery he also must be willing to wear braces to make the results more perfect. Why would someone give that much money for a surgery but now want the results perfect. Invisalign won't give that result

I don't really care about having perfect teeth. I just want the aesthetic results of it.

I wasn't talking about the teeth. Orthodontists correct the tilt of the teeth before surgery if it's not optimal. Invisalign can't really do that as good as braces. So it might affect the facial results you will get. For example If your teeth are tilted outwards more than they are supposed to do, surgeon might not give like 1mm more movemen't because of the tilt. But if you get it corrected with braces you might get like 1mm more movement(which is not little considering most people get 3-4 mm's of movement)

Invisalign mogs in several aspects though. Dr. Coceancig has an analogy for this but I forgot it.
In which aspects? I would like to check that video out if you can find it

if orthos say they can fix your teeth with invisalgihn then its legit
ofc if they say they cant you should wear normal braces

especially if your teeth are too crooked invisalign won't help...

How about straight teeth that need decompensation?
I don't think any orthodontist who knows what he is doing would accept to do class 3 compensation with invisalign. Maybe for class 2 compensation. If I was getting this surgery and I needed it corrected I wouldn't go with invisalign though personally, braces nearly always give better result

I meant decompensation with Invisalign prior to surgery.

Invisalign can correct severely crowded teeth.

Many people think their teeth are “too crooked” for Invisalign to work. Actually, Invisalign is even better at straightening severely crowded teeth than traditional braces. It is difficult to fit a traditional bracket on teeth which are very crooked, overlapped or rotated.

Orthos just learned to give every fckin retard braces. Teeth misaligned? Braces. Oh you have a broken leg? Here braces ? Your Mum died in a car accident ? Braces. Docs also just do what they are told and taught.

they make more money and the system makes more money as well with braces.

Yeah. Everyone can dig up everything to every topic. So far Invisalign and braces are pretty much equal from what I’ve read.

and also, invisalign is more expensive than traditional braces so if money was the issue they would give all the patients invisalign no matter if they actually need traditional braces or not. I bet there are orthodontists who already do that though, after all they are orthodontists, we are talking about people who extract teeth and rectract peoples faces just so their job would be easier and they would not need to refer the patient to a surgeon...

Afaik Invisalign isn’t actually more expensive. The treatments are short due to a higher effectiveness. In the end you pay more for metal braces due to a longer treatment time. Not sure, just stuff I picked up here n there. Also I got quoted 10k for braces while Invisalign is average 5k. But yeah Invisalign mogs. Not just In aesthetics. Also in effectiveness. And fr. you can’t trust these low tier orthos. They legit run on autopilot. They would even pull a tooth, put in a fake one instead and extract that same one again to prevent malocclusion. They have .me levels of iq. Or rather they try to squeeze every penny out of your insurance and don’t really care for your best outcome.

Invisalign is the newest tech avaiable, everything is done and simulated via computer while braces are done manually. You can see how your teeth will look like before treatment even starts.
