I was thinking of making a large high effort thread on maximising hypertrophy and a few other bits, because I don't really tend to see too much information about that genre here

and the guides on BOTB for this are god-awful

however I obviously don't want to put in all the research just to find out that there is already a guide here with sufficient information:feelskek:

has anyone seen any good threads about this topic?

my man 5H sure tried

Anyway there is no one true guide because of the biochemistry pill, the basics are consistency and sufficient caloric intake.

if you can't do well on a basic program by just hitting a good calorie target (start out around 40x your bodyweight in kg and adjust as necessary), and taking care of your joints, you might as well just pin brvh

thanks for linking this man, seems to be a good thread

and yes of course the biochemistry pill is real, but I see lots of misinformation about hypertrophy on here which I would like to clear up

this thread is not very in detail, and I do enjoy researching this topic, so I may just make a mega-thread for personal enjoyment and just because why not

ps. somebody needs to remove the gym guides on BOTB, they are so awful

the body adapts in its own unique ways, we only know the basic principles for certain and that is what u should concern urself abt. we know very little abt the complexities of individual adaptation.

I swear @Hernan and @Alexanderr need to audit BOTB and remove all the pre-2023 threads that wouldn't pass the post-2023 standards for addition to BOTB

Tbh when you actually lift for a while you realise programming doesnt mean shit (although it does matter for powerlifting). No bodybuilder made breakthrough gains from changing there workout routine, they just upped the dose. Just cover every muscle once a week and progressively overload. Thats why you have jay cutler 5 times my olympia doing half reps and training like hes high on xanax.

Also bodybulding routines/bulking areretarded for nattys who should just do full body workouts.

Most of these forum users dont know shit and the ones that do know and are involved in the fitness industry dont want to attribute all the gains they got to drugs and basically expose themself as glorified drug addicts. They have to cope and pretend they got to the level they are because they worked harder.

yes, because bodybuilders have elite genetics and blast copious amounts of AAS

for a natural, optimising training does make a difference, from personal experience

going from a bro split to FBEOD will make a significant difference for a natural lifter

The thing is you really cant gsain allot and look 'jacked' natty as it is so t.o me its best to just do full body workouts.

When I dropped down to trt after years of steroids for the first year all i did was full body workouts with weighted pushups, weighted dips, squats, pullups and 40kg one arm kettlebell swings (works the entire back of the body and the foraems) and not only did I keep nearly all the muscle, I felt the best ive felt for years.

the research shows full body is the most optimal anyway

and I will look into the clinical data regarding whether optimising training has much benefit, but I am pretty sure you can make a difference through optimal training

You can make a difference doing optimal compared to slightly suboptimal but the point is its likely so small compared to the other factors when drugs are involved.

oh absolutely

when you are on AAS training is a much less significant factor

but for naturals, every little aspect matters
