Minoxidil has been used for over 20 years, it's had countless studies done on it, and NONE proves that it accelerates or causes facial aging. It MIGHT dry out the skin and make wrinkles more prominent if you apply it on the face but unless it goes systemic (and it does so in very, very small doses if you're applying it topically) it makes no sense that something you apply on your scalp will affect your entire body's skin.

And yes, it does inhibit collagen production, it's meant to inhibit collagen production to contrast scalp fibrosis and cicatrization.
