Are there any good public speakers that aren't good looking?

Obama is considered a good public speaker yet the content of his speeches is mediocre and generic. But he looks good with a smile so instantly people liked him for no reason. It's the same for most other speakers.

Are there even any instances of so called good public speakers whose speeches weren't just generic bullshit? It always seems to me like being a 'good speaker' just comes down to looking and sounding a certain way.

Yeah, I used to be a really good public speaker in class. Always had the best presentations, ppl were impressed. I was 3PSL at the time.
