Communism can definitely work and has worked In the ussr and prc well at least the lower phases Communism aka socialism.

It was socialism Stalin never claimed to have created a communist society. People were starving regardless in Russia but through the centralization they were about to turn a feudal society to an industrial powerhouse in 2 generations
