I don’t think true happiness exists because as representations of life happiness isn’t our end goal. If we did want true happiness we would never find it because we want growth and expansion of the will, and ultimate happiness represents an end or “death” of this drive. I can still create meaning and overcome without a partner, it’s just more painful
