War is not engineered. Rather it is a culmination of two things in most cases

1. Succumbing to mounting pressure from the populace in cases of uncertainty and unknown events happening one after the other

2. Failure of diplomatic approaches to tackle with such unpreidctable events and the resulting change in relations between nation states

Yes and after over a decade of having anti-war convictions, reading books, countless hours of podcasts/talks, it’s all a racket for the arms industry. The oil in Iraq, the opium in Afghanistan, etc. were just the loot, not the reason for going in. Tonkin Gulf, 9/11, Assad’s chemical weapons all faker than a $3 dollar bill.

The trick is to see these things before they happen and not fall for it, like how they’re currently fear mongering about Iran’s nuclear program, or Haitian and Venezuelan immigrants, to justify potential new wars.
