Couldnt the high proportion of European "significant Individuls" be due to the fact that European inventions are more recent and that the european data hasnt been affected much?
Look at this. There arent many European inventions before the 15th century

Yes, in the article I linked it is sort of touched upon. And in the graph it shows Europe exploded at around 1600s
In 1000BC, and before that, Western Europe had the least amount of technological adaptation. China was probably the leader up until around 1500 AD.
But the most significant inventions and innovations, the ones that lead to the creation of modern countries today was founded primarily in Europe. Not to mention Europe at its height was leaps and bounds more powerful than the others tbh
