Part of me is, given that it's a basic human desire. I'm intrigued by how my kid will turn out to be, and who the mother of my children will be. However, I also don't look forward to it in other ways. I don't want to have to grapple with such an immense responsibility, as well as I'm not willing to give up my youth just yet. I still enjoy the naivety, friendships, and carefreeness that come with being nineteen, which I won't have by the time I become a parent.

I haven't mentally matured at all in a decade

Yeah, one downfall of being a contemplative person like myself, is that we end up worrying too much about the future. It's better to live in the moment, and keep these thoughts buried in the back of the mind for future reference. Something interesting for me to think about though however.
