Are you perceived to compensate if you wear AF1's?

Love these shoes, been wearing them for maybe 2-3 years. They're comfortable, sleek, plus you get like a 0.7cm height boost compared to average sneakers. I've never gotten a comment from anybody saying I'm compensating, but I've been fretting about if people think of it as height frauding.

I think the common concensus even with normies is that they make you taller. many people I know said to me "your not tall your shoes just give you 2 inches". The ones I know think they give more height then they actually do, making it kinda of a negative for me to wear them. But girls likely wont gaf unless they are super meticilous, they just want to see a decent height gap and a nice face, a lot of them wear them.

Guys may call you out, women likely won't

ye maybe but most of the people saying that are coping manlets tho so its kinda projecting. Most tall people dont care enough to check you on that, no need to make themselves feel better by calling out your fraud. If youve never got any comments youll be alr, how tall are you?

I've been measuring a lot and it looks like I hover around 184-185cm, depending on the day. Recently been frauding with insoles to add 2cm so I seem like I'm 188cm when I'm out and about, hopefully

Honestly I'm not really that into shoes so I don't look at what people are wearing and shit so I can't give a good idea but people often talk about the shoes when talking about sneakers so I'd say it's quite common though. It's quite surprising to hear that girls wear air forces where you're from, here it's definitely more of a guy thing

hmm well its probably better off being a guy thing. If more guys wear something you won't be called out for wearing it. Personally, maybe a few at most will think your coping but it wont be women js people trying to cope, it really isnt that big of a deal I promise plus they are nice shoes. I would continue wearing them
