Communism has always gotten a lot of shit because people claim it to be a fantasy or it's never worked. I thought this way too but today I've been thinking -

It Maybe possible.

First of all - Communism has never worked because it's never actually been implemented, true communism that is. All we have are failed attempts at it but its never ever actually been tried.

A famous argument against communism is that humans will always have hierarchies and there will always be a class system because its human nature and there is no incentive for people to give up their property/money/ to live communally blag blah

I use to think this way until today. Now here's my argument -

Yes, there will be "hirearchies" as libertarians put it but I wouldn't see it that way. I would see it more like "roles." Everyone has a role in society, whether it be the farmer or the leader. None of these roles necessarily have to have more power than the other therefore no hierarchies.

Yes, leaders with certain powers are needed but they dont necessarily have to own any capital or assets. They solely exist to serve the community.

So now we have roles established. Now we need an incentive to maintain this order. The incentive is the same incentive that drives the majority of those in capitalism - To survive.

Humans can only survive efficiently if they work together. The order will be maintained because people will need to rely on each other to survive. You won't seize control of the farmer's crops for the community because it will hurt you as well. Where would the food come from now?

Here's the thing - You dont need the internet or an xbox, or a home to be happy. Since no one owns anything you can live communally with other people. Lots of tribes lived that way in the Americas and they did just fine. You just need human interaction and the world. You dont need to own anything, that's a capitalist lie.

What do you guys think?

Because we've been brainwashed by capitalist propaganda and we think we need to own things.

Communism doesn’t work for humans. The leader will always abuse their power.

With communism implemented inel suicides would skyrocket

I dont actually support communism but I'm saying it can work.

I think the whole world has to become communist which just wouldn't work

There won't be a military an ideal communist society. A military a system organized by one person who has ownership or control. There will be guns but anyone can used them and train, that will be their source of protection.

Just throw away all the technological advances of the last century

It could be possible if a group of people are willing to do so on a small scale, large scale seems impossible. Capitalist conditioning is too strong.

Edit: I'm not necessarily saying get rid of technology. Just make everything universally owned. Also, Again, dont support communism.

We tried it in Romania and it didn't work, people are greedy, they always want more, they want to stand out, all sorts of random people that have no power in today's society were actually very powerful then, like people working in gas stations, food stores, all sorts of bureaucrats - you had to bribe them for the smallest things, otherwise they could refuse you and you had no other options, there was no free market or competing companies then, it was a very corrupt and rotten system.
