I've put some thought into artificial wombs, specifically cheap ones that can be assembled by normal people.

I think it's possible to implant a human egg in horse and artificially fertilize it with human semen. The horse will given drugs to allow the fertilized egg to survive the animal's womb and develop into a healthy human baby.
