It's just the lighting though tbh.
I have experimented with many lightings, trying to find which one would make my perceived chin height look taller. I came to the conclusion that using flash in a dark room will make your chin look abhorrently short.
His chin isn't that short. From other photos, I would estimate at least 40mm.
