if ur an ethnic who doesn’t look stereotypically “ethnic” or “white” then ur racial identity becomes entirely dependent on how personally successful u are

if ur successful, smart, wealthy, people will be quick to label you “white” or “white adjacent” when its convenient

if u fail, poor, or uneducated, people will label you “ethnic” or “brown”

this applies mostly to meds and maybe some arabs

i have seen this happen many times before

not really, I see plenty of ethnics trying to go as far as too claim Southern Europeans. White people only make up 7% of the world population not exactly a lot of societal pressure we posses on a global scale, at least not anymore.

what are you talking about?

whiteness is inherently an exclusionary concept that shrinks or expands depending on context such as politics, society, culture, etc. it’s not a static idea

i have a turkish friend that people sometimes mistake for white or european. i remember once when he got into an argument and someone called him a “dirty arab” and to “go back to his country”

True, I fell to this to when I was a kid tbh, most white mixed in my country either be model or actor, before this Looksmaxx stuff my brain would rule out the familiarity of ethnic feature, but nowdays, its insane to me looking back they not even phenotypically that white

I mean in terms of white viewpoint being shifted in terms of success, My anecdotal evidence in the united states is probably different then in Europe because people here don't know anything about European Ethnicities/ Phenotypes. But i've observed the opposite where ethnics will often time claim ethnically Europeans (Italy,Spanish,Greek, etc.) as within the same bracket as arabs, turks, berbers, etc. I have a friend who is Lebanese who is sometimes confused for European as well.
