As you grow older, you find yourself accepting things the way they are. A whole year passes like it's nothing. You realise time is ticking and become very conscious of it. When you was younger, as a child, a year felt so long. Because it was such a large part of your life. An 8-year-old who has just experienced one year of life, makes up for 1/8 of his life. Maybe even 1/4 of the life he actually remembers experientially. As time goes on, time feels like it's quicker because it makes up such a small part of your life.
Life humble you with age.
You begin to realize how much time you’ve spent on things that never really mattered. All those stupid thoughts and mindless things you've wasted an eternity on become fleeting memory.
