To those who are overweight or obese: it's not over for you.
Much of your potential is hidden beneath layers of fat—but that doesn’t mean it’s lost. You can reclaim it. The key is to shed that excess weight and rise above it.

Speaking from personal experience as someone who was once morbidly obese, the best advice I can give is this: watch what you eat.
Start by calculating your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)—this tells you how many calories your body needs to function at rest. If your goal is weight loss, aim to eat about 200–300 calories below your BMR. Don’t completely cut out your favorite foods, but keep them in moderation.

The strategy that helped me lose 135 pounds over five years was a combination of the keto diet and intermittent fasting (IMF), including alternate-day fasting (ADF). I typically fasted for 16 to 24 hours, and when I ate, I focused on high-protein foods while keeping my carbohydrates and overall calorie intake low.

While diet is the most important factor in weight loss, incorporating cardio or calisthenics is essential to preserve your lean muscle mass as the fat comes off. Physical activity supports your metabolism and improves overall health.

Remember, it’s not over until the bell rings. Stay in the fight.
