The older I get, the more grateful I am that I have Autism.

kindergarten through pretty much high school, it is a huge nerf

But the hyperfixation aspect of ASD

really allows you to delve into something that you enjoy and improve your quality of life.

Masking for a job, social life, etc is still horrible though.

(Hopefully this isn't a huge cope.)

True to a point, I was super low inhib when I was in elementary so I had many friends, very hard decline though and I can barely talk to new people today, definitely grateful about the hyper fixation aspect but I think I'd have a better overall time if I was neurotypical

The social aspect will always be a nerf.
