- Yellow fever by white men is a myth. “Asian women are more likely to respond to White men than to Asian men. Yet when we run similar models predicting men’s behavior, White men do not appear to be more interested in Asian than White women.” If you want to call it white fever by Asian women, you could but be careful though, Asian, black, and Hispanic women all pursue white men over their male counterparts. Nonetheless, the important takeaway is that Asian women pursue white men, while Asian men purse Asian women.
- White women are half as time as likely to respond to Asian men than white men. “White women respond to messages from White men nearly twice as often as they do to messages from Black and Asian men. They respond to Latinos slightly more often than Black and Asian matches but not nearly as frequently as they respond to White men.” Interesting note, college educated white women are less likely than non-college educated women to respond to Asian men. Thus when given more liberation and economic freedom, white women are less likely to give Asian men a chance.
- Asian men limit their dating pool to Asian women. Asian men pursue Asian women two times more frequently than non-Asian women, severely restricting their pool.
- Asian, white, Hispanic, and black women respond about the same if not more frequently to Asian men than Hispanic and black men. Yes, white men are still most responded to among all races, however, after that, Asian men do pretty well. “…a number of non-Asian women are quite responsive to Asian men. Black and Latina women are just as likely to respond to Asian men as to the same-race men who contact them…The idea that Asian men are the most penalized group of all men on the dating market is widely cited, yet it is not supported by our data.”
