I am sure any Asian here would understand the amount of toxicity narc, guilt tripping, filial piety, manipulation, strictness for their own good, self images and abuses.

Just another reason to feel better about your life as a non Asian. BTW I know you white will probably say oh we the same NO YOU DON"T I HAVE LIVED HALF OF MY LIFE IN THE WEST WITH WESTERN FAMILIES the amount of toxicity is less frequent and usually milder.

Looking back I wished my parents would beat me If I had bad grades. My dream of becoming a doctor and ascending socioeconomically didn't come true

Sincerely, that's something I would like to do, having kids and order them to work for me, do house labour etc.(just like it was not a long ago), then I would make them focus on real goals, such as studying hard (retirement plan), being successful in everything etc. They'll basically be my slaves for 18 yo, but they surely will turn out better than most kids nowadays, since I will care about their well-being.

Sincerely, that's something I would like to do, having kids and order them to work for me, do house labour etc.(just like it was not a long ago), then I would make them focus on real goals, such as studying hard (retirement plan), being successful in everything etc. They'll basically be my slaves for 18 yo, but they surely will turn out better than most kids nowadays, since I will care about their well-being.

The idea of Asian parents having kids is to set them as a retirement plan, nursing, paying bill, giving money regardless of how tired their adult childrens are??

Imagine you are their child you don't have the freedom to explore the world, marrying a plain girl who stop giving u sex after having children together, you taking care of your family and your parents financially and now you got too many responsibility.

The way you frame it is as white as it could get because you are willing to do it as love, to see them growing as a rightful person. You like seeing them success because it's good for them not because you have an outlier motive to leech off from them.
