I think you are conflating crystallized intelligence with fluid intelligence. Only crystallized intelligence can be improved with studying, crystallised intelligence is basically your level of knowledge, the more knowledge you have or the more you feed your brain with new info and concepts the more you increase the crystallized intelligence. On the hand, fluid intelligence is defined as your cognitive capabilites, your brain's ability to do problem solving, pattern recognition, memory, etc. The fluid intelligence is purely genetic and it cannot be increased.

They are higher IQ due to selection pressures. Asian societies from the turks to the japanese have historically used merit to determine status. In china men gained political power through academic achievement on the imperial examinations and thus increased their chances of reproduction. This went on for centuries and slowly increased their intelligence as a group. The same thing happened with jews as part of being jewish is memorizing the bible and religious theology.

Another theory is that people in cold weather climates tend to be smarter and have better long term planning to survive winters and what people think of as "asian" features evolved as adaptations to the coldest climates on earth.

As someone who has worked extensively in Asia, Europe, UK, USA, Australia, Asians are definitely not high IQ.

They are grademaxxed, but remember they have never needed IQ. In th developed parts of Asia (HK and Singapore) they just had JBW always do the thinking for them, and they're lemmings who follow instructions.

The only people I have observed where I can arguably say there is legit higher IQ, are ashekanazi Jews, Danes, and Swedes.

Ended up hiring a ER guy (went to school in UK) who didn't go to uni, can't code, on a $120k job, managing a bunch of nerds with great grades. Asian uncles and aunties were scanadised, and now I promoted that mofo hahaha
