Best thing I ever did. Sure as fuck beats having to use nosespray + anti-histamine pills for the rest of my life. And if you have multiple allergies like me it carries over. I'm getting desensitization therapy for grass and dust mites. Before I would get a clogged nose and watery eyes from being in a dusty room and now I can open up in the vacuum without it really affecting me.

FUCKING get it bro. It's definitely worth it.

I don't think you can get any permanent sides, the absolute worst that could happen is an anaphylactic shock but your first time will be supervised to make sure nothing bad happens if you enter one.

I only put the tablets beneath my tongue and the first couple of months I had some bumps grow there becauseI got bad swelling, but you're supposed to put it in different places of the mouth to prevent that. They're gone now but it took some months before they disappeared.

Besides, it's cheaper, in the long run, to pay for desensitization therapy than the meds to combat my allergies so that is also a bonus.

Not one bit. It will take about 1-3 weeks where your entire mouth will itch for like 10 minutes after taking the tablet, but that is it.

Your immune system isn't getting overloaded, it's just getting "used" to the allergen. Perhaps it differs from different types, sublingual immunotherapy is very effective for both grass and dust mites so I haven't explored other options, but I really wouldn't expect it to differ.
