They create the sentiment that they are supportive of the indie movie scene. This brings them to the attention of many touch-deprived wannabe art house cinema fans who wants to have a separate clique to make themselves feel wanted.

Being fans of A24 films provides them this perfect opportunity and hence they are attached to it, and go to any lengths to defend the movies from a24, and not look at a movie from an objective perspective.

I just refute this and look at the movie for what it is. And people associating a24 with something of their own, get defensive without looking at it through a clear lens.

I do have to say though, that Past Lives (2023) from a24 is an excellent movie that I thoroughly enjoyed and is possibly the only good production from a24.
