One of my cousin is 33M. His parents are looking for a bride for 5 years now, no result. He and his parents became very salty towards women and yesterday they came to our home, complaining about how women have raised their standard super high and have unrealistic expectations blah blah.

This guy earn 70k per month from a private company job. His parents dont own home, they live rented apartment in Mumbai. This dude has super patriarchal misogynist regressive mindset towards women. But yes, apparently its the women who are at fault here

Now let me tell you, this family has rejected multiple really good, interested, working women, just because of their skin color or little over weight problem or pimples. But apparently he doesnt have “unrealistic standard”.

Their requirements are —- fair skinned, slim, pretty face girl with at least 50k-70k type monthly salary, should bring lots of gold, fund the wedding, live with his family and cook well, have “family oriented” obedient behaviour and be virgin.

Its an irony because in my family, none of the boys and girls look good. He looks quite ugly but mausi says looks does not matter for men. And he has no money, but my entire family think “money is not everything” in life and women should not focus on money.

So what exactly a beautiful working virgin woman with lots of gold expect??? Ghanta, she should expect ghanta.

Even my mausi or my mom or me dont not qualify for all the requirements they have for DIL. But they will cry about “hypergamy” when such pretty woman will demand a rich well established husband.
