Normies follow the stupid advice of asking questions like its an interview.

What they fail to realise is this only applies to friends that you already know.

When you meet someone for the first time/dont know them well, asking too many questions, even 2+ can very quickly put pressure on them and they wont enjoy the interaction.

Its much safer and much better to make statements for the other person to react to. Making statements and reacting to each other is the natural conversation style of humans. It takes the pressure off, shows personality and builds connections much quicker

Like this take. Dont even have that much experience on social interactions but from what I have lived and seen people always usually prefer talking to people that are somewhat interesting and they dont just start asking you questions like a police officer

Literally anything depending on the context of the situation, or what you can see.

For example right now with you were on .org i could throw anything out there and it doesnt even need to be smart to work, i could just say you know .org is either a 2/10 experience or a 10/10 experience. Thats an example of a statement, and actually my initial thread is just one long statement, and look how many people are replying.

If you wanna use it in other contexts the same rule applies, its almost just saying your internal thoughts, for example sat next to someone in a lecture hall and you say “i got no clue what this guy is talking about ngl”

The good thing about statements is that it puts less pressure on you because you are not necessarily expecting a reply. The person might just laugh, respond, or ignore you and it wouldnt matter either way. When you ask a question all of your social power relies on if the other person answers well.
Yesterday I had the best jerking session for example
You literally could if it was someone you already knew on that level. Like right now if i was with you and your friend, what you said would lead me to ask “what did you jerk to”.
It gives me something to work with you know

It took me way too long to realise but what made it click was just realising that i feel alot of pressure/anxiety when someones asking me so many questions. It feels like im under a spotlight. Im not special, most humans naturally feel threatened when someon they dont know well starts blasting them with questions, because they have to go through so much cognitive effort to filter their responses to sound ‘normal’
everytime i try to ask people questions they just give dead answers

then i just give up and accept no one likes me
i had the same, until i started being low inhib. I wondered why low inhib was working better and its because i just naturally say whatever and make random starements naturally when im low inhib. Try it

Exposure therapy and just telling myself in my mind be low inhib

You’ll probably have to find your own way but when i hear myself in my head say “just be low inhib” it makes me laugh internally which actually calms me down and makes me low inhib

when you try to ask simple normal questions and you get terrible answers and no follow-up question back. :)
