Ha-ha, that's so true, you try to act serious, deep, you talk only about important stuff and people are like "Yeah, whatever....", you're pretty much invisible, or get confused, suspicious looks from the others...
Then, one day the teacher says something and you reply with a small, unimportant joke and the whole class is laughing like you're the funniest guy in the world. Or a sober announcement is made on the school speaker - a teacher died or something, and unfortunately at the exact same time you accidentally burp or fart....Everyone is now rolling on the floor with laughter, people are like: "OMG, this guy is hysterical!!!!".
From that moment you realize that you don't have much of a choice - if you want to fit in, you'll pretty much be forced to become a jester for the others, you're like a jester sent on his own way...
