this was me at around 14% body fat, It probably was my sustainable bf% for a long time and I'm not sure but any lower would lower my mental performance(maybe id adapt but I think 14 was pretty ideal), I was 20 at the time.

I'm thinking about buccal fat removal + other stuff but buccal fat probably first. what u reckon loksmaxxers?

Buccal fat is genetic, look at your mom and fathers cheeks. I got my dads robust jawline but my moms chubby cheeks rip. It stops growing after puberty and then you can decide if it’s worth while. I say get low body fat 15% under before you do it. Buccal fat is incredibly hard to lose with diet, it’s separate from your normal fat. Normally you need high cheekbones or good zygos for the surgery to be worth while(see nice results instead of subtle) so keep that in mind.

Buccal would make it more hollow but I can’t see your cheekbones from pic. So it won’t be drastic. High cheekbones/zygos= drastic results. Normal cheekbones = subtle.

I saw your second pic. So you have high cheek bones, not huge but subtle. It would make ur face hollow. Just make sure you understand once it’s out, it’s out.

it is not genetic. it has to do with visceral fat and insulin sensitivity

The shape of your cheeks is largely determined by your bone structure and the amount of fat in your cheeks. Your bone structure is largely genetically determined. However, speople also genetically store more fat in their face, like you said more being visceral and then buccal which can be Large or Insignificant(look at Sean o pry for example). However, there is no spot reduction for it so the best bet is low salt, low carb diets and lean max.

I think that’s what you mean by insulin sensitivity, Minimize the spike of it. I’d only recommend the buccal surgery when you’re sub 10% if you’re really that worried. Once you take it out, you can’t get it back Alot of people think they’re 10-15% body fat but they’re always very off. Im a genuine 13%, below are pictures and i have a prominent jawline but still chubby cheeks. I advise against the surgery until you get super low body fat.. because you just might have not strong cheek bones which is the real issue not the facial fat.

visceral fat is highly related to cheek fat
high visceral fat = shit diet = insulin resistance

cheek fat is not genetic but rather environmental. if you have cheek fat at low bodyfat you should change your diet.
cheek "fat" is also related to palate width. if your palate is too wide the teeth will push the cheeks out too much. that is why you see most models having narrow palates.

Interesting, thanks for the detailed write up too brother. There has to be a point in body fat where there’s resistance on facial fat? As in at a certain % body-fat it’s just not worth it coupled with a low carb/sugar diet to minimize insulin spike? I’m aware there’s no spot reduction but would the diet alone be this significant? As in even at low body fat coupled with a low carb/sugar diet would be significant in the reduction of visceral facial fat.

Do you think buccal fat has no significance in terms of cheek fat or round chip mink cheeks.

there is topical spot reduction. but it is much more preferable that someone accomplishes facial leanness with diet alone.

buccal fat does have a small significance but physically removing it with a surgery is unnecessary since that facial pad will shrink and become irrelevant as you lean down properly. plus it doesnt even make a difference at all removing that fat pad.

I dont know what you eat for a low carb diet but for getting and staying lean you should ideally incorporate many wild berries, herbs and spices such as turmeric with black pepper, ginger, spirulina, maca, fish oil, matcha, etc. they all help a ton with insulin and visceral fat (and a ton of other health related stuff). look them up.
and get everything you can organic. specially fruits.

also take a look at sam dezz palate width. its narrow and look at his hollow cheeks. thats a good reference to compare with yourself.

Cheek has both buccal fat and buccal muscle. Fat IS both genetics and diet. C'mon dude let's be honest here this is true esp for asian men, am one. Neoteny is what cucked asian men, not too bad for women, but is a death sentence for men. On the other hand if you develop bad chewing and swallowing habits you'll eventually end up still cheeky. Like any muscle the buccal muscle can hypertrophy if given enough exercise. It's easy, just don't use it and let it rot away. When you swallow make sure to engage only with your tongue. If all else fail, go get your buc fat surgically removed JFL.

Very few ppl actually need buccal fat removal unless ur a legit fatcel in which case lose weight. But if ur under 15% the problem is bones

The buccinators are irrelevant for cheek leaness. They are simply too thin to be significant.
Again if your cheeks are slightly chubby even if you are leaned down then you should diet the right way. It is not just about calories.

You look chimpmaxxed tbh

clearly you don't have a 13% bf, you have more, you probably have 17-19%

Is it just me or does his chin look recessed?
