At what point did you realize it was over between you and your dad (or mom if relevant)

And I'm not talking about death or looks mogging, but the relationship.

In which no matter what achievements you show or impress them, it's still inside a bubble of impossible standards that won't escape

you're still having a prune be rent free

all the intimidation, gaslighting, guilt-tripping, backhanded compliments, treat siblings better than you, abuse in denial, hypocrisies, one rule different to you but another to them and not a shred of wisdom made you realise

When he said that I fit into the new class because everyone there was ugly as fuck. One guy has a big nose, the other guy has asymmetric eyes, you fit right in there. He didn't even sugar coat it. But when I wanted to get surgery he still tried to bluepill me. Brutal.

My parents love me unconditionally. Almost too much.

This was instrumental in my eternal social avoidance and avoidant personality disorder. I never interacted with anyone due to them being overprotective of me. Thus, I grew up being absolutely terrified and unable to interact or form relationships with most people outside a select few.

Now you know what to gaslight him with whenever he brings up money

So it's the far opposite of neglect.

Anyone else who wishes to share, I'm looking for more post-relationship, self-reflective experiences.

Pissing in bottles

Yeah nah.
Not good enough.

Anyway, I'm sick of hearing only piss-weak, experiencecel tales by zoomer losers who are timecelling.

@forevergymcelling that gif of the guy slapping the kid would be ideal here. I want to hear stories about how guys here had to endure 9 circles of shit before they had to smash their father in the face and abuse their parents to even get an ounce of retributive respect after a lifetime of exclusion.
